Skills the students will work on are fingerprint analyses by dusting for prints, using chemicals to develope a print on paper, simplified soil analyses including appearence of soil, testing by using direct light, UV light, polarized light, acidity of soil, range of particle sizes, and foot print identification, simplified hair analyses, including hair structure, determination of species, and a final test of the "Investigation of the murder of Mr. Paul Dudden" by applying skills learned throughout the class. |

| Students will be learning and doing hands-on projects related to topics covered in Science Olympiad competitiong and in regular science classes. Topics will change each nine weeks. Topics to be covered over the course of a year will be ANatomy, Astronomy, Awesome Aquifer, Balloon launch glider, Balloon race, disease detective, ecology, egg drop, heredity, mission possible, oceanography, road scholar, rocks and minerals, science crime busters, simple machines, storm the castle, tower building, wheeled vehicle, and write it do it. Students will be expected to participate in discussions, complete daily lab assignments in a timely manner, and follow lab safety rules. Topics will be graded on points earned for tasks completed. These projects will be graded based on lab data collection activities, project task completion, group participation, individual classroom participation, and completion of written assignments. |

Students will be required to participate actively in the class in the games, projects and readings. By completing Foriegn Language 1 and 2, the students should feel confident in their skills and have much success in high school foriegn langage. |

| This class offers students a chance to learn how to sing in a choral style. Correct sound production techniques including breathing, placement and diction are emphasized along with basic part reading and aural skills. | This class offers students an opportunity to continue studying their chosen instrument in a band setting. Students will reinforce previously learned skills and continue to learn new music skills. Students will have the opportunity to audition for and perform with the Three Forks Pep Band. In addition to Pep Band, students also perform for atleast two school concerts. They have a opportunity to attend a junior high music festival with several other schools from the surrounding area. |

| Montana Indian Studies is designed to address seven essential understanding outlined in Montana's "Indian Education For All". Information is presented about American Indians in general,but for the most part, the class will focus on the reservations and tribes in Montana. Aside from a brief history of US federal policies taht have affected all Indian tribes, the class will focus on contemporary tribal culture and issues. The class includes discussion, reading, integrated art activities, musical activities, films, and guest speakers. It is organized into tribal and reservation groups for small group projects. |

Students will read on their own each semester out of class and complete a book project each semester. Oral speach presentation skills will be emphasized through the use of debate, presentations, mock "trials," and other activities. |

| Title 1 is a supervised study hall that provides support to students and teachers in their mutual effort of individual academic success. Title 1 provides support for students to overcome challenges they encounter in their regular education classes. This effort works towards decreasing the failure rate of students. I work with students, teachers counselors, administrators, and parents to help guide students towards curriculums that realistically prepare them for post high school. Students use the allotted period to complete work recieving assistance if needed. They may also come in during class work time for help and test taking assistance. |
